J. R. Larcombe, Phillips county chapter chairman, reported to Drought Relief Director R. A. Shep- rd here that Malta alone had ex- ceeded the goal for the entire county. He predicted that twice the amount of the chapter's quota will be raised before the campaign ends. Encouraging reports from chapters scattered over Montana and North Dakota poured into the relief agency's headquarters here. That’s why there is greater value in the White King package. It means economy for you. All possible moisture and air is re- moved when it is made, and no arti- ficial fillers or bulk are added. It - == is just all mild, pure condensed soap—packed with suds and wash- ing power in every grain. CONDENSED in the lukewarm and cool water that modern fabrics demand. Cool water spares tender hands from irritation. Hot water that ordinary. soaps require is just as hard on your hands as it is on your clothes. White King works equally well for every household use from dish pan to washing machine. You'll save money on the soap bill when White King is used —the modern, condensed soap that gives greater SOAP GRANULATED CONDENSED The Plain Truth about Coffee Prices Of Importance to Every Family which Seeks to Reduce Its Expenses, Yet Safeguard the Health of Its Members Dawe the past months this market has been flooded with certain cheap coffees—sold in bulk quite often, but more commonly in unsanitary paper bags. The casual observer may wonder why there is such a wide variation in coffee prices. Why one coffee sells for 19c, another for 25c, while the better grades eell for slightly higher. The answer is simple: There are as many grades of coffee as there are of milk or cream. Now—Know Exactly What You Are Paying For. When you buy milk or cream you know exactly what you are buying. You know the butterfat content, you know that government inspection is present, you know that the product has been sealed in a sanitary container, that you are taking no chances to your health by using it. Intelligent housewives now demand the same assurance when buying coffee. What everyone wants in coffee is flavor. The only reason anyone buys coffee is for that unique, inspiring, exotic flavor particular to coffee. The flavor of coffee comes from an aromatic oil known as caffeol. If you know the caffeol content of coffee, you therefore know exactly the value of that coffee, what you are paying for. Recently, the Van Cleve Laboratories, well known food chemists, performed mS CAy ,’ wn chemists, pe: ot é a series of experiments to deter- ~ mine the caffeol content of seven nationallyknown brands of coffee. Glance at the chart to the right. Note the relative caffeol content * of these coffees. Note that Nash’s Toasted Coffee had f ft “3 4K Relative Amount of Caffeo! Poor milk with a low butterfat content commands a lower price than milk rich in butterfat. Likewise, coffee low in caffeol content commands a lower price than coffee rich in caffeol. In coffee, as in other foods, you receive what you pay for. While Nash’s Toasted Coffee retails for only slightly more than a 19c paper bag coffee, for instance, it contains 60% more caffeol— what you desire in coffee, No wonder thrifty housewives are turning to Nash’s Toasted Coffee in ever increasing numbers.
