| RARMBR AND WOMAN Tre FACE MURDER COUNT fowa Couple Accused of Poison- ing Woman's Husband to Clear Love Path Anamosa, Iowa, Feb. 28—(?)— County Attorney Clifford B. Paul to- day filed true informations charging first degree murder against Mrs. Hilda Miner and Albert Hartwig, wealthy farmer, in connection with the death of the woman's husband, Edward Miner, Miner died &t his home at Olin last ‘Tuesday from the effects of poison. Hartwig has confessed to furnishing ‘Mrs. Miner with poison although she has not confessed to giving it to her: husband. Paul said, however, that Mrs. Miner admitted that she knew capsules found in her home contained poison. ‘An analysis of the capsules revealed that they contained the same type of poison from which Miner died and which Mrs. Miner admits she took in an attempt at suicide, because, she said, “I wanted to be with Ed.” Mrs. Miner yesterday attempted to cast the blame for her husband’s death on Hartwig although she at first maintainéd he committed sui- cide. She told Paul that the farmer, who is alleged to have paid many at- tentions to her, was in a position to have placed the poisoned capsules in @ box of pills which had been pre- scribed for Miner by his physician.
