GRESS Mr. and Mrs.Herbert Wernick, for- mer residents of Stecle, who have been visiting friends here for the past week, returned to their home in Wis- consin the latter part of the week. Mrs. Stromblad returned Friday from Bismarck where she has been staying for several months. The local baseball team played two games with the Bismarck tcam last week at Bismarck. The score of the game on Wednesday was 6 to 5 in favor of Bismarck and Thursday the score was 7 to 4 in favor of Bismarck. Members of the high school class of 1925 held their annual reunion Saturday evening. They gathered at Lake Isabel, but found it an uncom- fortable place to stay on account of rain, so they went to the H. M. Smith home for the remainder of the eve- ning. Members of the class who were present were Mayola Necle, Miriam Smith, Clara Wamsley, Dorothy Ar- gent, Mrs. Forrest Carlson, Dale Gold- smith, Paul Gress, an Glen Darling. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Cunningham of New York city, who have been visiting here at the home of Mr. Cunning- ham’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. Cun- ningham, Jeft last week for Wash- burn, where they will visit at the home of Mr. Cunningham’s sister. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Dwyer Hayes on July 5th, a son, Curtis Eugene. Mrs. DeSohn, who has been visiting for several weeks at the G. A. Dieruf home, left Friday for Turtle Lake where she will visit for some time at the home of her son, Dan DeSohn. Beulah Lindseth spent several days last week in a Bismarck hospital re- ceiving medic-] treatment. Harry Cunningham of Bismarck made a business visit here Monday. Daphne Wamsley went to Valley City Monday as delegate from the Epworth League, to the state Epworth League institute being ixeld there this week. The Stecle high band was given third piace in the contest held in Bis- marck July 3d. Floyd McCabe visited at the Carl Omodt home Sunday. Mrs. D. Ritchie and children and Mrs. Chamberlain motored to Bis- marck Tuesday to visit Mr. Ritchie, who is still confined in the hospital there. Mr. and Mrs. Kvalness of Bowman visited this week “t the Dieruf home. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Meyer are on their vacation this week visiting at the home of Mrs. Meyer's parents near Jamestown. Dorothy Tucker spent part of last week in a Bismarck hospital caring for a small nephew, who is recovering from a mastoid operation. Basil McGee of Dawson visited Tuesday at the home of his sister, Mrs. John Taylor. Captain and Mrs. H. E. Rolfe and children of Grand Forks visited Fri- day evening at the Methodist parson- age. The Rolfes were en route to Mandan and Mott where they will enjoy a vacation from their work in the Salvation Army, with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. O. T.
