Help in Local Leadership The North Dakota delegation are from the older group, each member having spent from five to ceven years in club work. In addition to the ac- tivities of their ow.: org each is helping in the organization and local leadership of other junior clubs which have been formed in their communities. Glenn Olson, of Edgeley, is 19 years of age and is in his fifth year of club work. Most of his work has been in the production of baby beef and he has been so successful that a number of farmers in his neighborhood have also started in the baby beef business. From his own earnings he has pur- chased some fine young beef animals and he has a dozen high grade sheep. He is a leader in athletic and social activities in his community and plans to go to college and study agriculture. Klusmann Real Dairy Boy Erwin Klusmann, :7 years of age, is in the famous New Salem distrigt and naturally is in Holstein calf club work. He was a member of the state dairy judging team in 1926 and the champion demonstration team in 1928. He has shewn his cattle at a numbcr of fairs and has helped his father in the care of a cow that made the high record in the New Salem circuit with a production of 806 janization, | pounds of butterfat in a year. Both of these boys talked to thou- sands of farmers of the state on agri- cultural development train programs, Glenn on the Better Beef speciaj train and Erwin on the Dairy-Poultry spe- cial train. The girls who are making the trip were outstanding in home economics work during 1928 and have been very active in developing junior clubs among the younger girls in their neighborhoods. Girls Are Prize Winners Alice Stenslie is 17 years of age and has spent five years in foods, baby beef and clothing club work.; She won the health contest at the state achievement institute in Decem- ber, and was also voted to be the most appropriately dressed girl for all occasions at the institute. She | makes virtually all of her own clothes. At the McVille fair last year she won more prizes for clothing and food ex- hibits than any other exhibitor in the open or club classes. Adeline Rosendahl is in her seventh year of club work and is 18 years of ;age. She spent six years in clothing club work and this year belongs to a home furnishing club. She has also been active in organizing a clothing club among younger girls. She has been president or secretary of her club since 1923.
