Emil Sattler was in Arena with a load of grain Saturday and called at the John Brose farm on his way home for seed barley. Almost every day you can look out and see smoke. There have been a few prairie fires this spring caused from not being careful enough. One family lost everything they had. Mr. and Mrs. Jake Bader and family and Miss Helen Wolff, from New Leipzig were guests over the week-end at the Christ Wolff Jr. and Karl ‘Wolff homes. Mrs, Bader is a sister of Mrs. Karl Wolff and Miss Helen is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christ Wolff. They came Saturday and left Sunday. ‘There was a surprise on Ella Neff Sunday evening, which was her birth- day. Those present were the follow- ing: Hilda Wutzke, John Wutzke Jr., Elmer Wutzke, and the Misses Hilda, Carrie and Pauline Wolff, and Ed Wagner. A nice lunch was served. There is lots of moving in Wing this spring, we understand. Miss Opal Gray spent the week-end with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Harding were visitors at the Will Harty home a while back.
