Several cases of flu have been re- ported in and around Leith, but as yet it has not seemed necessary to close the schools. We are glad to note that Louie Bit- ner is at home from the hospital at Elgin. He is still using a cane, but is recovering rapidly and will soon be able to be around as usual. Ernest and William Fricke, who re- turned from Washington a few days ago, report much rain in the com- munity they visited with disagree- able weather most of the time they were there. A nice sum was realized from the sale of the baskets and dance tickets which we understand will be used to replace the piano which was destroyed at the time Rupp’s hall burned.
