G, Sorlie and Mrs. Sorlie, Ex-Gov- ernor J. M. Devine and Mrs. Devine, and Ex-Governor John Burke and Mrs, Burke, Miss Bertha Palmer and other eine of the state of North Da- ota. - Mrs. Sorlie's everiing gown of aoral georgette embroidered with rhine- stones aimply and artistically designed? and was worn with a corsage of reses. A rope of pearls was her only ornament. Silver sHp- pers completed the ensemble. Mrs. Burke wore an attractively fashioned frock of silver metallic lace with an overdrape of biue lace. Mrs. Devine’s gown was of tan georgette, gracefully designed. Miss Bertha talmer wore a pretty frock of ‘¢in- namon colored canton. Members of*the business women's club who agsisted in serving the panch were gowned in-evening frocks, many of them in pastel shades!’ Miss Chrissie Budge, president of the ctub and chairman for the ingugural recep- tion, was gowned in Nile green satin crepe and wore an attractive corsage of roses and ferns. After dinner the evening was spent informally. CHURCH PARTY The junior department of the Pres- byterian Sunday school entertained for 38 Indian girls last week with a yarty in the church parlors. Mrs. E. P. Trepp, junior department super- intendent, and Mrs. R. G, Goddard and Mrs. Sara West Ankenmann, who have charge of the classes for the Indian girls, was in charge of the party. Games and music formed the diversions of the evening and refresh- ments were served, DR.
