Schafer One of the most beautiful and im- pressive wedding ceremonies of the season was, solemnized' at St. Joseph’s Catholic church in Mandan Wednes- day morning at 8:30 when Mary Teresa, daughter of Mr. and. Mrs. Thos. Cantwell, became the bride of Henry John Schafer. The groom and ‘best man awaited the bride and bridesmaid at the foot of the altar and proceded to the center altar where Rev. Fr. Clemens united the young couple in the holy bonds of matrimony. ~ : The bride was beautifully attired in white satin charmeuse and gor- gette crepe and wore a beautiful wreath of orange blossoms and a veil. ‘She carried a shower bouquet of roses and lillies of the valley. The bridesmaid, Miss Bridella Cantwell, wore a charming gown of peach satin and a picture hat and carried flowers. A The groom and best man, William F. Schafer, brother of the groom were conventionally clad. Both young people are well and favorably known in ' Mandan. A transfer tax fee of $375 was paid to the government on this instrument. ihe papers were signed last Decem- er. i RIONEER RESIDENT OF MORTON COUNTY DIES Mandan, July 31.—Joseph Knoll, one of the old time residents of Morton county, died suddenly at the home of Martin Kuper, near Harmon, of heart failure, aged 71 years. Mr. Knoll whose home is on Sixth Ave. N. E: in this city had gone out to the Kuper farm to help with the har- vesting, and had been at work part of the afternoon. stacking headed wheat. He was a man highly respected by all who knew him, and his sudden death has proven a severe shock to his wife adn family, The time of the funeral has not yet been set, as word is awaited from his son in Washing- ton.
