Its far- mers are a thrifty lot and are active in clearing land and developing pro- dudtive acres. Ifirying will soon become one of its principal indus- ftries, as a ‘geod start has already been made in this direction. A drive through the country, in which the members of this farmers’ club reside, would convince anyone that it was the center of a prosper- ous community. No better land can be found in the state of Minnesota than .that surrounding Solway and no one believes it more strongly than the farmers who, with their families are shown above. ' The club meets in the Solway Con-; eolidated school on the second Satur- day of each mouth. The officers of the club at present are: president, B. F. Tweeten; vicespresident, Martin Sorenson; secretary, M. A, Dille, and treasurer, J. A. Hallan. Not All Heroes Dead It is quite easy to note that “peace also has her heroes,” when you see the number of June bridegrooms. It is said that among the June bugs are the June bridegrooms. “. —How About the Female Bugs?— Some Freedom Anyway The freedom of the press has evi- dently allowed some farmers to make cider since prohibition went into ef- fect. —What Press?— times, THE FEDERALDAM Federal Dam is one of the new Soo Line villages, which, since the road was buiit, has made rapid ad- vances ‘in the dfvelopment of its farming commungy a3 well a3 its business enterpris®s. It has a population of between three and four hundred and is en- joying a steady, healthy growth. ‘Eederal Dam will hold its own in comparison with its neighboring vil- lages. That undoubtedly is the reason why so many people always keep the head of the bed tight against the wall and the floor littered around NEBISH On the Minneapolis, Red Lake and Manitoba railway about 22 miles north of Bemidji is located the vil- lage of Nebish with ‘its live-wire We appreciate the patronage extended us in the past, and we are endeavoring to merit a continuation of it—maintaining a High Standard of Quality at all We know how hard we must strive to hold your confidence when we say— “WE WANT YOUR TRADE” CITY DRUG STORE LALIBERTE & ERICKSON DRUGGISTS Bemidji, Minn, The chief contention of Chiropractic is between the vertebrae on either side of the spinal column.
