The day was perfect and re- freshments were served in the open, which they all enjoyed. Mrs. Gustav Larson has been on the sick list for the past few days, but is now recovering. Gustav Larson surely is planning on a new home again, as the foundation is being laid at his country place, The Poplars. Everett Haycraft, who has been at- tending law school at Washington, D. C., arrived home Friday and is as- sisting his father in the store. Mr. and Mrs. Earl McMahan left Tuesday for their home in Bemidji. Mr. McMahan was one of our . popu- lar merchants and has many friends who join in wishing them success in ‘their new home. Mrs. Nels Bye and daughter, Miss Pernella Goldberg, arrived here Fri- day from Spring Grove, Minnesota. Miss Goldberg expects to make her home with her mother. Miss Vina Solberg arrived here on Friday from Spring Grove, Minne- sota, and is the guest of her sister, Mrs, E. W. Tweeten. She expects to remain here during the summer. Dan Sullivan and family of Wilton spent Sunday here visiting ‘with friends and relatives. iCharles Haycraft attended the Sun- day school convention of the Baptist church at Akeley last week. 5 Mr. Philips, the state school in- spector, Mr. Dyer, James Given, W. B. Stewart and B. M. Gile were here Tuesday in the interest of the con- solidated school. L. Bradeson was down to Bemidji Thursday. Thom Hanson, who is now located at Grand Forks, was visiting at the Ostby home here this week.
