George Larson and wife of Nymore were pleasantly surprised by Nymore, Aardahl and Trefoldigh- ed congregations last Sunday evening. When coming home from the service in Bemidji, they found the church in Nymore filled to the ‘When Rev. Larson commenc2d his service the same as usual, J. A, Olson in- terrupted and said, ‘The service will be a little different than usual this evening,” he continued and gave a suitable speech for the occasion, stat- ing that while Rev. Larson had left many friends in Washington he had also many friends in this locality. When he had concluded his speech he presented the minister with a handsome purse of money, on ‘behalf of his congregations with which to buy furniture for the new parsonage lately built for him in Nymore. Rev. Larson responded with a few words of thanks and then proceeded with his regular sermon, after which he and his family were invited to the parsonage where the ladies were busy preparing lunch. Rev. Larson has had splendid success in his church work the four months he has been in Nymore. Churches have been built and others have been improved and an up-todate parsonage has just been completed. A new congregation has been organized in Cass Lake and he has also begun his regular serv- ices in Bemidji.
