THERE are -some things which :f grow indistinct in our minds and X of lesser significance with time; £ |but it is not so with Memorial :f Day. Forty years ago the Amer- % [ican nation ceased its titanic in- E | ternal struggle and was at peace once more with itself after the most terrible civil conflict that ever marked the history of any country. From that day to this our thoughts haye turned each year with increasing tenderness and reverence to the memory of those who perished in that great struggle, where every man, whether he wore the blue or the gray, fought for principle, for what seemed to him liberty and the right to govern himself and make free homes for his children. So we have set apart one day of ‘| the year when the cares of busi- ness and the pursuit of pleasure may be laid aside and we may do public honor to the memory of the thousarnds who gave their lives that the nation might live and that we of today and our children and our children’s child ren might enjoy the inestimable blessings of a free country. To the American people there is no greater day in the year’s calen- dar than Memorial Day. GOVERNOR LAFOLLETTE has words fairly blistered the skin and it was a castigation richly de served. But the legislative lobby will endure many such beatings before it relaxes its grip upon the people; it is the strongest force in political, industrial and commercial life today and even such a virile blow as Governor his breath in the teeth of the wind. INDIGESTION’S RECORD “The best remedy I can prescribe for your in- digestion, madam, is Green’s August Flower. 1 know of several other physicians who pre« scribe it regularly.” QIndigestion is making an awful record 25 a cause of sudden deaths. It is beat. ing heart-failure in its ghastly harvest. You read in the papers daily of appar- ently healthy and even robust men being !enly attacked with acute indigestion after enjoying a hearty meal, and of their dying in many cases before a physician could be called in. qThis should be a warning to you who suffer with regular or periodical attacks of indigestion. If these unfortunate vie- tims of acute indigestion had taken a small dose of Green’s August Flower be- fore or after their meals they would not have fallen 3 prey to such sudden seizures, QAugust Flower prevents indigestion by creating good digestion. It also regulates the liver, purifies the blood and tones up the entire system in a natural way. 7 gTwo sizes, 25c and 75c. All druggista.
