Refuses to ‘File Resignation of County Attoraey Loud With the Board. .~ A special meeting of the board of county commissioners will be held Monday. The mostimport- ant business to come before that meeting is the election of a county attorney to succeed H. J. Houd, resigned. But Mr. Loud’s resig- nation reposes in the pocket of R. A. Stone, assistant attorney general and will probably not be presented to the board of county commissioners Monday. Mr. Stone appears to have placed himself in the postion of usurping the perrogative of the governor. He refuses to file the resignation of Mr. Loud thereby practically suspending the com- missioners from office so far as regards the performance of tlLe duty to elect a successor to the county attorney. Governor, Johnson, however, whenappealed to to suspend the commissioners from office refused to do so; what the executive of the state re- fused to do, it seems, Mr, Stone considers himself entirely quali- fied to do. The question which people are asking is this: What right has Mr. Stone tosay who shall be the next county attorney of Bel- trami county? It is freely asserted that the assistant attorney general is con- niving with B. E. McDonald and Andy Danaher to secure for them the political control of Bel- trami connty. C., News: Early in the spring my wife and I we.e taken with diarrhoea and so severe were the pains that we called a physician who prescribed for us, but his medicine failed to giveany relief. A friend who had a bottle of Chamberlain’s Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy on hand gave each of us a dose and we at once felt the effects. I procured a bottle and before using the entire contents we were entirely cured. Itisa wonderful remedy and should be onud in every household. H. C. Bailey, Editor.
