Olson, Refused By Blackduck Woman, Sui- cides at Erskine. dJ. Late Sunday afternoon, J. P. Olson commifited suicide at Er- skine by drinking two ounces of carbolicacid. Hedied almost in- stantly in the most awful agony. The sequel to his self-destruction is romantic in the extreme. According to the Crookston Times Olson was employed on the big Mayville farm near May- ville, N. D. Some eighteen months ago he was employed in the woods near Blackduck and there met the object of his affec- tions, Mrs. Julia Holte, who was cooking in her brother’s hetel. Olson fell in love with her and as she did not return his affections, he took it to heart and his mind weakened. She left Blackduck and has liyed since at Erskine. Olson has made frequent trips to Erskine from North Dakota but the lady has had nothing to do with him.
