Men who do wrong cannot suc- ceed, The world is full of trouble. The United States are in need of leadership. Dr. Williams never did favor Dr. Curtis. The democratic party is peeping up. What can a man expect if he is false to his friends ° The tramp who 1s using Secre- taries Vanderlip and Porter’s| names, will be checked in a few; days. The man who can fight will make a good man. Bruce never was a coward. No negro need apply for a place under the District government. This is a world of disappoint- ments. If you can make out to live these hard times you are doing well. The colored man is a mystery. Let us all live and hope for bet- ter days. The colored attorney has a hard road to travel. The investigating committee will compel Justice Bradley to explain. The Police Court is in need of some reformation. Let us have peace, if not war.
