The theory the professor states will not do. The grand master is simply the executive officer of the grand lodge, and his interpretation of the law prevails when the grand lodge is not in session, and that is the end of the matter. The Craftsman will state | that if the President of the United States can be impeached, why cannot | a grand master be served the same? } Mr. Mackey says that if grand masters abuse their powers, that the grand lodge can at any time provide the mode to exercise jurisdiction over them ; c| therefore, this grand master being the grand lodge when it is not in session, | and the W. master being the lodge when it is not ia session, is simply the lack of proper conception of Masonic laws and regulations governing the institution. The great trouble in or- ganizations is caused by putting ignor- ant men at the head of affairs, espe- cially Masonry, who don’t know ; and in other words, to hear them tell it, they know it all, but can’t think of it. | We rest here.
