More than 100,000 persons are study- ing in trade extension courses alone, and 325,000 are studying in Federally sided vocational schools supported by appropriations of over $18,000,090, t.c- cording to the committee, which found that more than 4,000,000 students in the United States completed cor- respondence courses. The committee suggests that each industry co-operate with the univer: sity extension agency in its State and secure for its employees the aldi- tional personal instruction furnished when correspondence instruction is applied for by groups, and the conre- quent forniation of what are called extension classes.
