With the prediction of her fricnds that Maude Adams will not appear on the stage again came the first knowl- edge to-day of the nature of the in- vention which has claimed her time and attention for a long timo and to which it is believed she wil! devote her life. It is understood to be a light that can be used for theatre illumination without interfering with throwing motion pictures on the screen.
