White Elephant Bowler ‘Rolls 107 and Ties for High Score. Eighteen five-men teams took the drives at Thum's alleys last night in The Evening World Headpin Tourna- ment. Of the ninety men competing only one was successful in rolling 100 or more, the score necessary to win a silver medal. R. Barth, one of the White Elephant team, was the suc- cessful one, rolling 107 and, incidental- ly tying for high score to date. Several of the other bowlers came close to the necessary hundred, but weakened before the twelfth frame. Most of the bowlers competing are not accustomed to tournament bowl- ing and the plaudits of the spectators probably produced stage fright, al- though no one would admit it. The high team score of 481, made by the Inter Church team on the opening night, still stands, none of the eighteen teams that bowled last night having been successful in dethroning them. SCORES.
