» HARDING OUTLINES ECONOMY PLANS Nearly 1,000 Officials Called To- gether to Receive Instructions oh Spending. WASHINGTON, Fob, 3.—Neariy @ thousand Federal officials, including bureau chiefs and heads of the spend- ing units of the Goyernment, were called together to-day by President Harding to receive his personal in- @truction in connection with the Administration's policy for securing economy in expenditures consistent with efficiency. ‘The assembly was the second semi- annual meeting of the business or- ganjzation of the Government, with the President presiding.
