yoga yee PLANT HEIRS WILL APPEAL FROM CUT IN EXECUTORS’ FEES Widow and Son Allowed $30,000 While Others Got Four Times as Much. Mrs. William Hayward and Henry Bradley Plant—widow and son of Mor- ton F, Plant, millionaire sportsman and financier of New York and Con- necticut, who died Nov. 4 1918—filed notice in the Superior Court at Nor- wich yesterday that they would ap- peal from the decision of Judge Brown, who cut their fees as executors from $128,000 each to $30,000. They had carried their case to Judge Brown be- cause they considered $128,000 too little fm view of what the three other exe- @utors of the Plant estate had been allowed. ® ‘The five executors originally asked for more than $1,000,000, The widow @nd son were each to get $100,000 and the others—George L. Shearer, Francis DeC. Sullivan and the United States ‘Trust Company of New York—$300,- 000 each. Mrs Hayward protested, and Judge Anderson awarded her and her son $128,000 and each of the others $256,000. \ Mrs. Hayward carried her appeal to ‘the Superior Court, where Judge Brown not only cut her fee and that of her gon to $30,000 each but cut Mr. Shear- er’s and the trust company’s to $120,- 000 each, and Mr. Sullivan’s to §136,- 000. When Mr. Plant's estate was first Inventoried it was estimated at $33,- 000,000. But the net accounting showed this figure shrank to $165,800,- 900. Mrs. Hayward—the former Mrs. Plant now married to Col. William ‘Hayward—refused to approve the net estate accounting. es GERMANY DOES NOT WANT SPY.
