CAPITAL WANTS - TO BE PROTECTED FROM ITS POLICE (Operial to The Prening World.) WASHINGTON, July 14.—Wash- ington needs some protection against its policemen. This is the opinion of citizens, following rev- lations of the last week, during which seven members of the po- lice force have been suspended on charges ranging from conduct un- becoming an officer to highway robbery and kidnapping girls and attempting to mistreat them. Policeman F. L. Hunt of the 24 Precinct i's charged with high- way robbery, this being the sec- ond charge of this kind lodged against a capital policeman in re- cent months. Policemen Kenneth J.
