CENTRAL TRADES VOTES INQUIRY OF BRINDELL COUNCIL Investigators Empowered to Call Union Conference for Reorganizing Present Body. The Central Trades and Labor Connell last night ts regular meet- ing in Beethoven Hall voted, 103 to &5, for an investigation of Robert P. Brindell's Building Trade Council. The committce which will conduct this investigation will also be empowered to call a conference of all building trades unions with a view to rcorgan- ting the present body or forming an entire new organization. The matter came up at the Centra! Council's meeting in the form of a resolution from the District Council of the United Brotherhood of Painters. ‘The painters have vecn fighting Brin- dell for more than a year because of his methods. a result of the fight, in which the painters refused to affilt- ate with Brindell’s Building Trades Council, Brindeli formed an outlaw union of painters. This, however, was forced out of the Brindel! Building ‘Trades Council by the Building Trades Department of the American Federa- tion of Labor.
