Dr. Donald MoCaskey, of No, 24 Went 59th Street, who recently ad- mitted that he had violated the Vol- stead act by prescribing spirituous liquors for patients In excess of one pint in ten days and who, in a letter to Federa! Prohibition Commissioner Kramer, called the office of Charles R. O'Connor, Federal Director for New York, a° madhouse, yesterday wrote to the latter. Dr. McCaskey’s letter was a reply to one from Mr, O'Connor asking for additional information as to his vio- lations, and closing: “I have not as yet had opportunity to go over the Jast book you received, but I shal do #0, and I'm stating further that I have ordered a com- plete investigation of your activities under your permit, and 1 purpose to give you the vigorous action you evi- dentty longed for.” Dr. McCaskey’s reply follows: Dear Mr. O’Congor: Your action cannot be too vigorous or too exhaus- tive or too prompt to sult me.
