DETECTIVE RENEWS HUNT WAR HALTED “Marty” Owens Is Again Looking for Max Stork, Accused of 1913 Auto Theft. Detective Martin Owen, who was a Captain in the United States Army in France during the war, is back on his 014 task of hunting Max Stork, charged with having stolen an automobile back in 1913, He was arrested by Owens in 1917, after a chase that led through a dozen Staes and lasted four years, and released on $2,000 ball. Then Owens went to France to drive the ambulance donated by the Police Department, and became for gallantry under fire. The other day Judge May in Brook- lyn: decided to try Stork on the old charge and issued notices to him to ap- pear in court.
