AE Ee 5 — ate wet tates 8 hes REFUSE CONFIDENCE VOTE TO PASTOR WHO RESIGNED Action of Hackensack Congregation Brings Special Meeting of North Bergen Classis. ‘A special meeting of the North Berg- en Classis of the Reformed Church has Been called to consider the situation brought about by the refusal of the North Hackensack consigtory to give | & vote of confidence to the Rev. J. R. MMller, who recently resigned the paa- torate of the North Hackensack con- sregation. ‘The parents of a number of boys brought charges agalhst the Rev. Mr. Miller because of accounts of the initia- tion of their sons in a secret order called the Knights of King Arthur. The Rev. Mr. Millar resigned as soon as he heard of the charges and left North Hackensack two days later. ‘The classis, because there had been no hearing on the charges, directed a vote of confidence in the pastor. The congregation ignored .the direction. The classis then passed a vote’ of confl- dence, but Clerk John N.
