Marcella Sembrich, past mistress of the art of singing, was present and stayed until the end. I asked her if she were to take Miss Giannini as a pupil, but enigmatic smile. « Caruso on concert tour is drawing phenomenal crowds. In Nashville he had an audience of 5,000; in St. Louis and in Kansas City eath more than 8,000. Special honors were paid to him in St. Louis, where the city flag was presented to him by the Mayor. WASHINGTON, May 7.—The army plans for co-operating with muni- ctpalities, air landings would be es- tablished at 32 cities, including New York, Albany, Buffalo and Syracuse and extending to the Pacific Coast. Major Gen. Charles T. Menoher, Director of Air Service, said that the idea was to inaugurate a system of postal, commercial and pleasure use. The ‘air service will co-operate fully selection of landing fields.
