By Marguente Mooers Marshall EITHER do I condemn thee; go and sin no more.” That is the sentence which should be carved In letters of gold above Newark’s new Convalescent Home, and somewhere about; it there should be inscribed the sentiment of another great and tender heart, “With malice toward none, with charity for all.” For this Convalescent Home Is a place where the sick hearts and souls of women are cured, as well as their sick bodies. Even the name ts a kindly) thing; It would have been so easy to brand the place— and, of course, Its occupants—with the word “Magdalen” or some other phrase having too well known associa: tions. The Convalescent Home, which is to be opened early im May, is simply a place where the unmarried girl are to be given a fresh start in life. The Home is @ j quite separate wing of the Ivy Hill Alms House on tween South Orange and Newark. The girl occupants will not be brought in contact with other persons { the Alms House. The Convalescent Home has its own kitchen, its own long, sunny living rooms, its own private entrance, its own lawn and garden. There are nice little individual sleeping rooms, which will be furnished simply but attractively, and @ separate dining-room.
