Was decorated with the flags of all the Allies, Lucien Muratore has consented to sing “The Marseillaise” at the concert by the Musique Militaire Francaise, at Carnegie Hall to-morrow night. He was invited by the Deputy High Cotn- missioner of France, who is the offi- cial patron of the concert. This band has been sent to America by the French government to play under the auspices of the War Work Council of the Y. M. C. A. The production is by William Brady, the story is by Charles Whittaker and the direction is by Harley Knoles, It's a war story, of course, and the plot is made American instead of English. The machinations of the sples in the German secret service are manifold. There are stunts that thrill, such as a fist fight on a Zep- pelin in mid-air, with precipitation into the sea; a pursuit by a hydro- plane, the cracking of a safe, with the death of one of the robbers, who drinks wine that contains poison; ex- citing gambling scenes, dancing on a battleship, @ sensational plunge of a captain to avoid being searched while he carries an incriminating letter that reflects upon his brother's wife, the same brother being the Admiral who commands the fleet. ‘There's a love story, needless to say, and pathetic devotion to kin by gullty as well as innocent. The “Stolen Or- ders,” after all, never reach the! Kaiser’s minions, and the play ends happily. In the cast are Kitty Gor- don, Montague Love, Madge Evans and Carlyle Blackwell. The attrac- tion draws crowds who are absorbed in the plot and enthusiastic in recog- nition of its developments, — WARREN C. BEACH INJURED. | Warren C.
