FACE LOSS OF 0B “IFTHE GVENEWS Secretary Says He Will Dis. miss Officials Who Talk to Correspondents, WASHINGTON, May 8.—Secretary Lansing to-day followed up the State Department gag order which forbids any other official there to give in- formation to the public, with a state- ment that any other official who gave out information conveying a criticism t of the department's policies should be dismissed. Mr. Lansing reiterated that the giving of information to the public through the newspapers would hereafter be restricted to himself and the newly created Bureau of Foreign Intelligence.
