BRIDGEPORT, Conn., May 3.—The Police to-day released George Russell of No. 130 Putnam Avenue, Brooklyn, N. ¥., following his arrest on the charge of stealing a ride from New Haven to Bridgeport on top of a Now Haven train when he declared he was out of funds and was on his way te vistt his sick wife. He was seen to scramble from the top of the coach as the train drew into the local station. It is considered angerous to get within three feet of the high tension wires and officers say he must have come within closer range than that on many crossove: along the line.
