CAPT. WENDELL RETIRES AND TRANSFERS FOLLOW. —— Pensioning of Accused Police Com- mander Resuits in Promotion of Lieut. Fahey. Weowing the retirement of Police Chartes Wendell of the High- taldge police station, who asked to be a@arges of failing to patrol bis precinct properly, Police Commissioner Waldo, to-day, appointed Police Lieutenant Charies J. Fahey to be a captain. Fahey stood at the head of the list of eligivie Meutenants.
