TEN CENTS PER WEEK. e ERNEST ANDERSON KILLED BY PRESS Pressman in Pioneer Plant Caught in Such a Manner That He Suffered { Internal Injuries From Which He Died in Less Than Two Hours. Ernest A. Anderson, a pressman in the Pioneer plant, was mortally in- ) K jured yesterday afternoon at 3:30 when he was caught in the machinery of the big press. The bed of the press struck hinr just below the ribs and injured him internally in such a manner that- he lived less than two hours. The accident happened while the regular edition of the Daily Pioneer was being run off. Dr. Sanborn was called at once and adminis- tered a hypodermic stimulant as soon as he arrived. Mr. Anderson was rushed to the St. Anthony hospital in Dr. Sanborn’s auto and.was taken to a room at once. An examination was made at once and it was found that he was se- verely injured internally. 1In spite of stimulants, his heart action con- stantly grew weaker until he died. His mother, Mrs. C. J. Sandin, was notified as soon as it was realized that he might not live but he died fifteen minutes before she reached the hospital. J. P. Lahr took charge of the body, and telegrams were sent to sisters at Lunsden, Sask., and Albert Lea. Mr. Sandin was reached at Fergus Falls. No funeral arrangements have yet been made. ! R —
