PLYMOUTH, Mass., March §.—For the firet time in Ma: setts criminal pro- cedure @ woman, Mrs. Lena Cusumano / of Hull, was sentenced to death in the electric chair by Judge Joseph 8. Quinn in the Plymouth Superior Court here today. Enrico Mascioll, whose name hae beon angiitized into “Harry Mar- shall” and who was convicted jointly ‘with Mrs, Cusumano for the murder of «the woman's husband, Frank Cusumano, in Beptember, 1910, was also sentenced to death. Both sentences are to be car- ried out in the State Prison at Charies- town during the week beginning June 3 neat. Mrs. Cusumana and Mascioll heard their fate without emotion, although eth insisted that they were innocent of.the murder. When the Court asked Cusumano why the death sen- tence should not be imposed her reply, as translated by the interpreter, was, “Tt do not want to be sentenced so hard. I have done nothi ebidren.
