AV.d ST. VERY property we have opened this ycar was swept off the map by an eager army of buyers keenly alive to what Brooklyn is to be. The Flatbush Gardens sale of three-quarters of a million in August Jiterally smothered a twenty years’ record of big achievements. The Best Is Yet to Come The Globe, Sept. 12, says— “The remarkable progress made in Flatbush in the past few years is about to be carried still further through the instrumentality of Wood, Harmon & Company, who have already contrib- uted largely to the development of this section of Brooklyn.” The New York Tim +s, Sept. 13, says— “Within the last three weeks a small army of engineers, surveyors and labor- ers have wrought great changes on this tract (Midwood Manor), More than a mile of streets have been built, 35,000 square feet of sidewalk have been laid, a quarter mile of sewer been completed, 18 new houses under way, 4,520 feet of curbing have been set. “The decision to open it was reached only after the successful sale of Flat- bush Gardens had demonstrated the strong demand. That property, consist- ing of 1,000 lots, was practically all disposed of within two weeks, for a total of $600,000, the largest sale in the firm's history.” New York Herald, Sept. 12, says— BUILDING A WEW BROOKLYN TOWN “Usually a development like this is a matter of years of patient work, but Midwood Manor is growing at wonder- ful speed, Three weeks ago green grass am dalsies covered the Shults, Driving Park on Ocean Boulevard. Already streets have been made, sewers installed, houses rising in all directions and acres of shrubs and foliage plants have been transplanted in full flower and leaf. “On account of the low cost of the land, the Corbin houses will he sold from $4,500 to $2,000 less than exact duplicates of these houses can be sold in those portions of Flatbush where the Corbin Company have heretofore operated.” The Evening World, Sept. 12, says— RUSHING MIDWOOD MANOR “Midwood Manor will be completed practically by October, It is highly re- Stricted—dwellings are designed to set the type for later construction. Build- ing in quantity, he (John R. Corbin) can make a handsome profit, and still sell far cheaper than the individual can build for himself. An instance is shown four blocks away, in South Midwood, where a $14,500 house is being dupli- cated at Midwood Manor for $11,000-- both are of identically the same plan and construction and built by the Cor- bin Company.” New York Journal, Aug: 6, says— “The lots are certain to increase in value within a few years, and the ine vestor will mot only have a pleasant living place, but a certain assurance against want in the future.” NEW JERSEY. | POD OOOO TALS REAL ESTATE FOR SALE NEW JERSBY MIDWOOD MANOR is not only the best property in Flatbush---it is the best in Brooklyn---the best in Greater New York---the best we have ever offered for sale. You may not know this---inquire of any Brooklynite and you will. If you put off inquiry three or four weeks you may not learn it soon enough, but that will be your fault, To-day the opportunity is yours. One million dollars’ worth of perfect property, perfectiy restricted, perfectly im- proved, will be sold in the next three weeks at half value. Proper reierence as to character end a $10 bill will start you. Later we will tell you all about the magnificent im- provements we are putting in free of cost to you; how the electric light and telephone wires are put in conduits so as not to disfigure the streets; how the sewers are being in- stalled under city inspection, and all about sidewalks, curbs, gutters and acres of flowers. But to-day all we want to say is, Go down to MIDWOOD MANOR---take a thirty minutes’ ride on the beautiful Brighton Beach “L,” and see the hundreds of.workmen in every direction; the great en- trance gates lifting up in the air,.and the houses rising on all sides. It is worth your while. There are 1,150 Choice lots on the property, all going at ridiculous prices compared with neighboring values, but you might as well have the first choice as the last. There is really a great advantage in the first choice of 1,150 lots of apparently equal value. Midwood Manor is a good name, but not a perfect one. $1,000 will be given for a better neme. Full particulars at our office on Midwood Manor--reached by Brighton Beach “L.” Avenue J station, or any line of trolleys running down Coney Island Avenue. The newspaper extracis published on either side indi- cate the interest which the most important papers in New York City are taking in the greatest real estate de- velopment of modern times. Corbin dwellings at Midwood, South Midwood, Vanderveer Park and elsewhere, “The decision of Wood, Harmon & Company last spring to actively re- enter the Brooklyn real estate market as a selling factor has been one of large influence upon the activity of this mar ket, and the conviction of William &, Harmon of a satisfactory demand for Brooklyn investments has beer abund- antly “The firm's purpose to enter at this upon a series of the most developments cted to have a portant pon general realty conditions, The ¢ in building operations » this rial mpetus through the volume of con- will recelve ma truc for which Wood, Harmon & Company gnd the Corbin Company will be done responsible. “No property avill be sold to any one whose acquisition as a resident would be detrimental to the development “When values reach a still higher the firm withdraw tem porarily from th | SALE OF SECTION NO. 5 OF |. | FOR THE MONEY IS } ‘PLAINFIELD ESTATES Glen Onoko and The Switchback Lng 5] MIRE LEH'GH VALLEY RAILROAD CIVIL SERVICE COURSE, HARLES W.
