Calhoun, comes up here to-day and both sides announced themselves ready for trial, Eldridge shot and killed William Dunovant, his busi- ness partner, some time ago. On the trial he was acquitted. Afterward an attempt was made to assassinate him, and he accused Calhoun, who was Dunovant's brother-in-law. Last sum- mer Eldridge saw Calhoun on a train hear here and sot him to death.
