2 TWO KILLED, THIRTY INJURED IN COLLISION Excursion and Express Trains Derailed and Passengers Are Cut and Mangled. (@Bpecial to The Evening World.) PITTSBURG, Pa, Sept. 7.—An excur- wion train on the Western New York ‘and Pennsylvania Railroad that left Newcastle at 7.35 o'clock this morning ‘was in collision half an hour later with @ regular passenger ‘rain at New Wilmington Junction. It was first re- ported that twenty persons were dead and scores injured, but later news shows that only two persons were killed out- right. The number of injured ls now placed at thirty. ‘The raflroad company called out all the physicians within reach, and ambu- Yances and surgeons went from New- 0 the relief of the injured. Blevins, at Neshannock Falls, a. ca telephones tnat the wreck occurred one @na one-half miles South of New Wil- mington. The fireman and the engineer on the excursion train were killed. Jonn 8. Popham, of West Madison avenue, Newcastle, is the enineer who wae killed on the excursion train, ‘The excursion train was running to make the junction siding. Both tins were detailed and more or less wrecked.
