Mrs. Van Note was twenty-nine years old and came from Bay Head, further down the coast. She was Van Note's second wife and was subject to epilepsy. Tt was quite late Sunday when they started out, and they had been gone almost two hours when Van Note returned and told the story of his wife's death.
