Beard. Sinco that time nothing has been heard of the boy or his companion, Thomas Reynolds, and nothing seen of the row boat which they took out from an Erie Basin boat house several hours before. Mrs. Morrisey fears the boys are lost and is almost prostrate with grief. H husband, an engineer of the Ward line steamer Mexico, 1s expected to return from a trip to Cuba to-day, He knows nothing of his son's Aisappearance. Mr. Morissey was in the harbor of Havana when the Maine was destroyed and Is & well-known mariner, His son had a love for the sea and was an expert swimmer. On Thursday last the two boys start- ed out to row to the Jersey shore. That 4s the last that Is absolutely definitely known of them, Off Robbin‘s Reef the Beard, leading two scowa, met two said that they seemed exhausted from rowing and called for a line. The tide carried the rowboat toward the second scow, An Itallan on board gave warn- ing, but before he could bring help the the boys in the boat had been drawn under the scow. The tug was stopped and the water scanned, but nothing was seen of boys or boat ‘after that. ‘The captain of the tug reported the inci- dent to the Hamilton avenue police station. Next day it was learned that the Morrisspy and Reynolds boys were missing. It has since been learned that a tug of the Keeler Transportation Company was leaving the harbor at the same time on a trip to Boston, That tug |x due in New York to-day. This May Sale of Undermuslins - Means Economies Not to Be Had at Any Other Store. In view of the present state of the cotton market this May sale of Undermustlins is quits unlike any other great White Sale we have ever conducted. o secure the large quantities necessary for such an annual event we must always contract for them months ahead. We went about gathering these in the usual way, and after all contracts were made cotton prices soared—high enough to gladden every heart in Dixie. It was good fortune, pure and simple, that gave us ownership of these vast stocks previous to the advance. We do not claim that the garments are one whit better than those offered in past sales, when under- muslins absolutely perfect in materials and making were involved. The standard has been maintained in these. But we do claim that women who take advantage of this event will pay less for desirable garments than at any other store in the world.
