Berry was arrested by Detective Don- a)ue in Seventh avenue, near Thirty- ainth street, ay the result of informn- tlon furnished \by Robert C. MeCul- Jough, ® reporter. In an affidavit Me- Cullouch relates that on Wednesday night he met Berry at Eighth avenue fad Forty-second street, and that Berry told him the details of the shooting and that he was employed to arrange the matter with the Idea of getting publicity for the “Out of the Fold” company now playing there. When first arrested Berry denied all knowledge of the affair, ut later he admitted that he hud arranged the de- ta{ls and had employed two men to do the work.
