> THE WORLD Ee ee ee Se ne COADJUTOR FOR BISHOP POTTER Episoopal Diocesan Convention , to Be Held Wednesday Ex- pected to Seleot an Associate Bishop for New York Diocese. MANY NAMES MENTIONED. Rev.William Grosvenor, of the Church} of the Incarnation, Is Strong Fa- vorite and Will Probably Be Chosen for the Office. Although Bishop Henry C. Potter has @xpressed no desire for an assistant, it fs thought likely that the principal work of the Eplscopal Diocesan Con- vention, which meets Wednesday in the Chureh of the Heavenly Rest, will be the election of a coadjutor bishop for the New York Diocese. Bishop Potter has heretofore always astoutly maintaind that he was equal to the work of the diocese, but It is no Jonger a question of physical endur- ance. The business of the diocese has ‘own so great that one man cannot even keep up with the work of Episco- pal visitations. It is expected that this matter will be raised in the dlo- cesan convention and the selection of the coadjutor will then be made. Among the clergymen who have deen mentioned as likely to receive votes in the convention are Rev, David Greer, rector of St. Bartholomew's; Rev, Dr. Huntington, of Grace Church; Rev. William Grosvenor, of the Church of the Incarnation; Rev. Wilford Lash Robd- bins, Dean of the General Theologival Seminery; Rey. George Martin Chris- tlan, of the Church of St. Mary the Vir- gin, and Rev. Percy Stickney Grant. Dr. Greer probably would not accept the place were it offered to him. He hag el-! ready refused the Bishopric of Western Massachusetts and his parishioners would oppose his leaving them, Dr. Huntington is regarded as too old for the coadjutorship, and Dr, wm though he will have many support 4a not expected to win, as he represen! the advanced ritualistic wing. Dr. Grosvenor 1s a strong favorite an‘? Will doubtless have Bishop Potter's sup- port, The Rt. Rey. Lucien Lee Kinsvly- Ing, Bishop of Southern Brazil, who wag @ well-known New York pastor, is also prominently mentioned for the place. The choice of the convention will be Tuled by the laity, as they have a strong voting representation. During that time Miss Earle will remain within the con- fines of her apartments at the Ven- dome and make lavish use of arnica, witch hazel, etc. It was all on account of a horse—a horse that once seemed destined to shine in the glare of the footlights and the calctuin, But now! Father John O'Brien, of Lowell, Mass., by whom it was rec- ommended and from whom it derived its name, this old family remedy has never failed to do all that is clafmed tor it. It cures colds, grip and all throat and Jung troubles; builds up the body, prevents penumonia and consumption. It is not a patent inedicine, and we again call your at- tention to its freedom from poison- ous, nerve-leadening drugs or weak- ening stimulants, upon which the ma- jority of patent medicines and s0- called “cough cures” and “balsams” depend for their effect, and which are dangerous—we warn you against thein. or Connecticut.
