Friends of Mra, Louise La Montagne received word to-day trom Napa, Cal., that she had been granted a divorce from her husband, Ernest C. La Mon- tagne, the well-known clubman of this city. The separation was granted on the ground of non-support, Mrs. La Montagne having gone West more than a year ago to obtain the decree. ‘The divorce follows a separation which stirred the hunting set in New York two years ago. Mr. and Mra. La Mon- tagne were married in 1892 and lived happily apparently until 190, Mra, La Montagne spent a portion of each year In Germany, her health being poor, and her husband was with her there as long eagh year as he could remain away from his business. Two years ago he was called back to New’ York suddenly. His wife came home five weeks earlier than he had expected her, and she made a discovery that caused the separation. She at once retained Alfred Ely as her attorney, but it was finally decided not to ask for a divorce in New York.
