How he wooed her back she flustrates by two letters writ- ten by him to her and a copy of an Agreement signed by him when they be- came reconciled. Lonesome Without Irene. Here are extracts from the letters. ‘The first is dated May 6, 1900: “My Dear Irene: It seems so lonesome. * * * Dear Irene, take me back and give mo another trial. I shall be as food to you as you ever have wished, * * * See if I can't make you happy. Nothing shall make me cross with you, no matter what happens * * * Neither have I forgot your Easter hat; that may come next week.
