May 10.—With the sinking sun flashing brightly from thelr silver trappings, 350 of the proudest thoroughbreds in the world paraded majestically on the Speedway this afternoon, while fully 20,000 of their lovers cheered approba- tion. It was the third annual “Speed- way Day" under the auspicen of the Road Drivers’ Association, and the sight was one for kings. The American horse as a creature of beauty has long been acknowledged the feader of the world, To-day's parade of the cream of American road horses howed conclusively that their prestige is in no danger of loss. ‘The parade started at 2 o'clock from One Hundred and Tenth street and Beventh avenue. The route was up the avenue to One Hundred and Pifty-third street, across the viaduct to the Speed- way and up the stretch to Dyckman street and return past the club-house at One Hundred and Sixty-fitth sireet, where a grand stand was erected.
