UIST DAY FOR TAX RETURNS, Collector's Office to Be Kept Open Until Midnight New Suit to Evade the Income Tax Begun in Chicag A full corps of assistants was on hand in the office of Internal Revenue Collrctor John A, Sullivan, at 114 Nassau street, this morning, to get to work on the large amount of mail on hand. Sev- eral bushels of large envelopes contain- ing income tax returns came in early. This is the last day in which to fle returns, and it is expected that there will be @ continual rush to the office until late at night. There were not many personal calls early this morning, most of the income tax payers pre- ferring to file their returns through the mails, Chief Deputy Collector Wendell said ghat there had been no definite system lecided on as yet regarding the method of procedure against delinquents, but he sald that they would receive the. full beneft of the law.
