The star of the Ellensburg team had worn a funny red cap. It had made a great hit with the girls. Shirley went away to college, was gradu ated from the law school of the University of Washington and later was admitted to the bar. Next I heard of him he was traveling for the Alexander Hamilt d to set] me a course (which I should have taken) 1 had formed new business acquaintances and made new friends like all folks do who drift away from the home town and the home fireside. Then I began hearing from mutual friends of Shirley's suc cess. Soon he came to town and I gripped his hand and heard him talk. Seattle friends of mine marveled at his ability as an in structor, and I was proud I knew him. cee Now he’s coming back again to Seattle He was born here, and his friends are legion Most of us will hear him again and so will thousands of others.
