You work when the other fellow plays, and work when he works, too. Sometimes my friends ask me. myself till night. But now I'll tell you why. IT’S BECAUSE OF THE WONDERFUL AND GLORIOUS HAPPINESS AND CONTENTMENT THAT THRILLS AND TINGLES TO YOUR VERY BOOT-TOPS WHEN YOU SCORE SUCH A BOOKING SCOOP AS I SCORED WHEN I BOUGHT BABY PEGGY IN “CAPTAIN JANU- ARY.” I can’t play super-productions every week. They don’t make ’em that often. I can’t send every sin- gle customer away every blessed day from every solitary show just tickled to death. BUT I CAN HOLLER—AND YELL—AND SING—AND DANCE—AND LAUGH—AND CRY WITH THE SHEER JOY OF IT WHEN I LOOK AT A PICTURE MASTERPIECE SUCH AS THIS, AND KNOW THAT I’M GOING TO SHOW IT ON MY SCREEN SIX TIMES A DAY FOR A WHOLE WEEK AND GIVE FORTY-TWO OF MY AUDIENCES ONE OF THE GREATEST TREATS THEY EVER HAD IN THEIR LIVES. Believe me, it’s the finest attraction shown at the Heilig since “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.” Be- lieve me, five thousand American picture owners knew what they were doing when they put it along- side “The Hunchback” and “The Covered Wagon” as one of the ten finest pictures of 1924. Believe me, the Principal Pictures Company made a great business deal when they hired Baby. Peggy at a sal- ary of a million a year to make more like it. They knew what they were doing when they chose such brilliant character artists as Hobart Bos- worth, Harry T. Morey, Lincoln Stedman, Irene Rich and Barbara Tennant to support her. They picked right when they chose one of the best-loved stories in American literature as her first starring vehicle under their banner. It’s going to reveal to you a new Baby Peggy— a little queen of dramatic actresses, unquestionably the greatest child star of the day. It’s going to thrill you so as to make all other thrills cheap by compar- ison—make you rock with hearty, joyous mirth that no mere slapstick ever evoked. And when you go out you'll tell me that YOU WISH YOU WERE IN THE THEATRE BUSINESS, TOO! C. W. McKEE, Manager Heilig Theatre. (Using Betischer Band Instruments) CHARLES P.
