Aa you know, no doubt, the terms of Cohen, Carroll and Fitzgerald will expire, And if Oliver T. Erick- won decides to make the race for mayor his seat in the council will | Alvo be vacant, It Is generally un- derstood that Cohen and Carroll will bo candidates to succeed themselves. But there aro a good many voters who would like to see somo now blood go into the council chamber, In the general round up for a good man for mayor, several names for the council have also been sug gested. In fact there ts as much Interest manifested in the coming councll manic election as there is in that of the mayor. And that this is a good sign is the opinion of many voters. ‘They contend that it has been our habit to allow the mayor's election to overshadow everything else, with the result that we often get a second-rate council, T shall be giad, ‘with the co-oper- ation of The Star, to bring out »ome good names for the council and see what you will do with them.
