This condition can- not continue. You cannot get quality and service with- out certain cost and compensating those who supply the merchandise and render the service. Unless the price to the producer is correct, hundreds of dairy farm- ers in this vicinity will be for¢ed to abandon their farms and leave a trail of debts behind them. ’ Prosperity for the Farmer Means Prosperity to the Community The Value of Our Logged-Off Lands Depends Upon the Success of the Dairy Industry Accurate accounts show that 360 dairy farmers, members of the Se- attle Milk ‘Shippers’ Association have been producing milk at a loss. Now that herds are on winter feed, the cost of producing Seattle’s High-Grade Milk has increased to the point that the farmers are com- pelled to maintain a price to the distributor that perfectly justifies the price which he is charging the public. The QUALITY of Seattle’s Milk supply is not excelled by any city of its size in the United States. The major portion of this city’s milk supply is produced by members of the Seattle Milk Shippers’ Asso- ciation. ‘These producers are duty bound to produce milk that eon- forms to all sanitary requirements and to maintain the high stand- ard of Quality already perfected. To accomplish this purpose, the Seattle Milk Shippers’ Association maintains experts Upon economical production and dairying and each member’s farm is visited and inspected and he is instructed, in order that the public may be as- stired of Quality Milk., This method. of production and the safeguards as to sanitary requirements, assure the consumer of Seattle that the distributor who handles and delivers milk producéd by this association is supplying’ the highest i Milk it is possible to produce and at a price that is consistent with its worth, A GOOD PRODUCT IS ALWAYS WORTH WHAT IT COSTS, AND A CHEAP PRODUCT IS DEAR AT ANY PRICE Demand from your distributor Milk produced by the Seattle Milk Shippers’ Association, Ts *)MVUUUANTVAUATTUAEAAA cenit s eM On mM TL iri
