Two of the biggest games of the season are booked for the Pacific coast, Washington State and the California Golden Bears will get together in their big fracas at Portland and the Oregon Aggies will try to steam-roll their way to victory over Stanford at Palo Alto. As Washington plays three of those teams, meeting Stanford here next week, more interest than usual is being centered @ this brace of games. The Oregon Aggies walloped the Dodgers last week. The Portland melee should be a wonderful battle and grid fans expecting to take in the game are hoping for a dry field both teams can show at their best. California snowed the under a 49-to-0 score last season, but it is very tful if they will run up that kind of a tally this year. of the fans are picking the Pullman team to win. It’s aboutatoss up. — The Oregon Aggies figure to beat Stanford as they have ‘me of their strongest teams in years and they showed a Son power against Washington last week. Stanford has in one of the big games in t 4 well, too, in their games so far, but not the power of Beavers. Farren was immediately booked to bale Eddie Pinkman at the Pavilion Tuesday night by Jimmy Malone of the Cascade Athietic club. It certainly looks Uke Eddie ts picking a hard one in Farren as Pinkman was beaten by Eagles and Farren knocked Eagles out in less than a round. But Eddie's bout with Eagles was his first start in nearly two years. He has looked better «ince winning close bouts from Johnny Jordan and) Monk Fowler. Malone is lining up « pretty good card for Tuesday. He plans to use Al Biddle, who wag robbed of the de- cision in his bout with Boy McCase- lin last Tuesday with Archie Stoy, the Aberdeen miller, who has won @ lot of bouts down that way. John Wagner and Soldier Woods will meet in the special event This ought to be a wild one. Joe Martinsen and Tommy Son- tag, a couple of Ught- heavyweights, tangle in the second bout. One more tiff completes the card. Farren's suspension {is taken to mean in local mitt circles that most of the boys lined up to box on Aus tin & Salt's card will be cleared soon by the commission. The kickoff is set for 220 pm. QUAYS WALLOPED TIGERS, TOO Queen Anne defeated Broadway by the mume score that West Seattle did, and also defeated Ballard 10 to 3, which puts the hill team on an even footing with Franklin for the league leadership. A win for West Seattle today will tie them with Queen Anne and) would give Franklin the lead, pro viding, of course, that Franklin wine’ ustice from Ballard in their game at Den ny field this afternoon. If Frank: lin lowes, too, the three teams would | be tied This ts another tight game, as both Franklin and Ballard entered the fray with thelr strongest lineups.
